Tall Ships Chicago 2010

Sail on a Tall Ship! In the summer of 2010, the Tall Ships will be again be gathering in the Great Lakes for port visits and races throughout the summer. Chicago's Official Tall Ship Windy and Chicago's only wooden Tall Ship Red Witch, will be welcoming the fleet to Chicago in August 2010, and we will be offering a limited number of sails during the event, as will some of the other vessels. When are the Tall Ships Coming to Chicago?

International Parade of Sail with 20-25 Tall Ships from around the world are set to grace Chicago's skyline. They will dock along the north side of Navy Pier. The 6-day extravaganza kicks off with cannon blasts and foreign national anthems against a waterfront backdrop. |

Festival boarding passes will be available prior to the event online (location to be set soon). Events are to include international music, ship exhibits, crew challenges, arts and crafts, boat building, maritime displays, fireworks, and more |
Tall Ships Chicago 2010 is a community event. In addition to dockside tours, visitors will enjoy historical and maritime lectures at area museums, Tall Ships in Hollywood retrospectives, nautical dining and shanty sing-alongs.
