Comment: | My boys and I had a blast! Orion was very entertaining and kept the crowd involved. Both my sons (13 & 8) helped raise the sails and were called up during the pirate stories. My little one did a great petrified in terror on the deck of the boat and had the whole boat laughing. We loved the ride so much we went back that night and rode the fireworks cruise. The boys can't wait to come back and ride the ship again. |

Comment: | My students (high school girls) and I were visiting Chicago for the week and choose the Windy as one of out excursions. The crew and staff were very friendly and the vessel was really clean. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids were very busy hoisting the sails and looking stoic. But there was also wonderful interactive teaching and storytelling. Orion was so well education and entertaining that listening to him was just fun. Watching him interact with the kids showed that he has the heart of an educator and a passion for the history of the Tall Ship, as well as the Great Lakes area. |

Comment: | Our Family couldn't get enough of this ship. We took the Tall Ship History cruise. Theresa did such an awesome job - she remembered each of our names and really helped make our 3 kids' experience so special (they're 11, 9,and 6). My son said, "I will remember this day for the rest of my life!!!" The entire crew was friendly and really seememd to enjoy teaching us about the "Windy." From hoisting the sails, to holding the charts, to the obvious love you all have for the city of Chicago - thank you! We can't wait to sail with you again! |

Comment: | I just wanted to thank the entire crew of the Windy. My husband, my two boys (ages 5 1/2 and 8) and I took a trip on Sunday. We were encouraged by the very friendly and engaging Orion to take the trip. We did it on a whim and we are still talking about it!!!! We had such an enjoyable time! My boys loved the pirate stories told by Orion and Zach. I couldn't think of two better people for their jobs. They were AMAZING!!! I only wish I had known that Orion was a former Michigander. We are so impressed with our whole experience and we hope to have the chance to experience it again!!! Thanks so much for a memorable and delightful trip! |

Comment: | We took our daughter for her very first time on any type of ship. The crew of the Windy and Captain Dave were amazing!! They made her feel so special! She was able to help hoist a sail, fire the cannon and even take a picture at the helm. The tour was terrific and the dozin was incredibly knowledgeable! Thank you so much! We can't wait to sail again. |

Comment: | Today, we took the Great Women of Lake Michigan cruise at 7:00 p.m. We had the greatest time on board the Windy. The stories were magnificent, the story teller was superb, Aaron was a wonderful deck mate and the crew in general was friendly and uplifting. The photographer is wonderful too. This was our 35th anniversary present to ourselves and we had a great time. It was worth every cent and more. My son and his wife are going tomorrow and our daughter went for her anniversary on Memorial Day. Thanks. |

Comment: | We took the Pirate cruise on the Windy. We had awesome weather--it was perfect for sailing on Lake Michigan. The crew was incredibly friendly and definitely entertaining. We learned quite a bit about adventures on Lake Michigan waters. And yes, hoisting the sail was fun & hard work! Thanks for making it an enjoyable adventure for a landlubber. |

Comment: | We rode your ship yesterday, Sunday, May 30th -- the 11:30 AM sailing withthe Pirate gang -- had a GREAT time. Our son Eric got to fire a cannon, how cool, thanks very much (photo attached). We're back home in St. Louis now.The ship ride was a memory for the kids and for all of us that we will not forget!!! Our kids are musicians and music lovers and they really liked the Haul AwayJoe song that one of the pirates taught everyone -- we looked on You Tubeand found various versions, various lyrics -- is there one version (in printon some website or artist or CD) that you can recommend that is the one youall use? |
